Recipes From Home

Eventually we reach that time in the year when students begin to reminisce about those comforting meals that come from home. Our wide variety of well-balanced choices — including nutritious entrees, fresh fruit, salad bar, steamed vegetables, hearty soups, delicious deli meats and cheeses — is simply not good enough at times! Students crave that special something from home.

That's why we offer our "Recipes From Home" program. Bring your home cooking to your students home-away-from-home! We believe that parents and grandparents are the best resources available to make our campus menu "more like home." By sharing a recipe that your family has grown to love, you'll assist us in providing a wider and more popular selection of menu items.

Submit your student’s favorite recipe from home to have a chance to win a round-trip flight with a two-night stay during the annual Homecoming Weekend in November. Plus, your winning recipe will be featured in the Bruff Commons Dining Room at the Homecoming Weekend Jazz Brunch on Friday, November 9, 2018!

All recipes for special dietary needs are welcome, including gluten and allergen free, vegan and vegetarian!

The deadline to submit your entry is Monday, September 3, 2018!

After the deadline, 7 finalist will be chosen. The winning recipe will be chosen by attendees of the Fall Food Rave on September 27th. Each recipe will be prepared by our chefs and attendees will vote on their favorite dish. The winning meal will be featured during our Homecoming Weekend Jazz Brunch on Friday November 9th.

Terms and conditions: Flights and hotel stay are only available to the parents of the student and any siblings that are 18 years old or under.
