Meet the Dietitians 

Interested in learning more about nutrition, health, and wellness?  Tulane University’s two registered dietitians are here to answer all your questions!  Kelsey and Sarah specialize in a variety of nutrition-related areas including food allergies, sports nutrition, eating disorders, chronic illnesses, and how to build a balanced plate at any location on campus.  

How can I make an appointment with a Tulane University registered dietitian?

Sarah offers students at Tulane University one-on-one nutrition counseling for all nutrition-related needs including weight management, eating disorders, medical conditions, healthy lifestyle, and sports nutrition.  All nutrition sessions are individually tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of the students. The initial session lasts up to 60 minutes and determines the appropriate goals for the individual student’s lifestyle.  Follow-up sessions usually last an average of 30 minutes and are scheduled depending upon needs decided by the student and the dietitian together. 

Appointments are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Uptown Student Health Center and can be scheduled online here or by calling the Student Health Center at (504) 865-5255. How can I request a nutrition-related presentation or workshop? 

Presentations and outreach are also available on request. Presentations available include Nutrition 101, How to Eat Healthy on Campus, Intuitive Eating, and other topics as requested.

Kelsey Rosenbaum, MS, RD, LDN

Kelsey has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Mississippi State University.  She completed her dietetic internship and Master of Science in Public Health Nutrition from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  She was named Louisiana’s Recognized Young Dietitian for 2015-2016, and served as the New Orleans Dietetic Association’s President from 2016-2017. 

As Sodexo’s District Campus Dietitian, Kelsey supports 9 schools throughout Louisiana. Kelsey was the first AllerTrain Master Trainer in the state and continuously trains Sodexo staff to provide safe and delicious food for students with special dietary needs. With a passion for food and nutrition, Kelsey believes in empowering people to lead healthy lifestyles through education and access to healthy foods.  Her motto of “all foods fit” allows people to eat right while enjoying Louisiana’s great food. 

Sarah Walsh, MS, RD, LDN

Sarah is a Registered Dietitian at Tulane University where she utilizes her nutrition expertise to provide nutrition counseling and outreach events to diverse groups of throughout the Tulane community. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Dietetics and Exercise Science from Iowa State University. Her areas of expertise include Eating Disorders, Weight Management, Sports Nutrition, and prevention and management of chronic diseases. Sarah is originally from Iowa and has moved to New Orleans from Columbia, SC.
